Kazan is likely to host the first session of Russia-Singapore Business Club, which was created in the framework of Russia-Singapore Business Forum. It was reported t on February 7 at the meeting of RT President with Michael Tay, Executive Director of the Russia-Singapore Business Forum. Ildar Khalikov, the RT Prime Minister of Tatarstan, Midhat Shagiahmetov, Minister of Economy, Iskander Muflikhanov and Anatoly Krasnov, Aides to the President took part in the meeting, which was held in the Government House of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Due to Iskander Muflikhanov, the perspectives of cooperation in the field of water purification plants on Singapore technologies were discussed during the meeting. Rustam Minnikhanov instructed to gather a working group in order to consider the possibilities of organizing the production of these plants in Tatarstan.
During the meeting they discussed the establishment of the Russia-Singapore Business Club - a permanent structure within the Russia-Singapore Business Forum. Representatives of Singapore would hold the first meeting of the Business Club in the second quarter of this year, and Rustam Minnikhanov suggested the possibility of holding this meeting in Kazan.
Today, Russia-Singapore Business Forum is a unique business platform, which connects the political and business elite of Russia and CIS with Singapore and Asia. Since 2006, Singapore passed 5 forums, which have created new opportunities for cooperation and partnership.
On 9 June upon his arrival to the Kazan International Airport, the Russian Minister for Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov was welcomed by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin.
In Kazan Sergey Lavrov will take part in a meeting of the Council of Ministers for Foreign Affairs of State-Participants of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).
On 5 May, speaking at a regular meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with participation of the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector of the republic Marat Ayzatullin informed that currently 63 school catering units are under repairs with the amount of work completed reaching 15 per cent.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
