Ildar Khalikov: In 2011 Revolution in archive-keeping of Tatarstan

Major changes will happen in Tatarstan archive-keeping in 2011. This was announced by RT Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov at board session of Chief archival dept. under RT Cabinet.
Head of Chief archival dept. under RT Cabinet Danil Ibragimov reported on results of work of Tatarstan archival institutions in 2010 and key tasks for 2011.
Head of Department defined main problems in activity of archival institutions. By his words, the most urgent are consolidation of material and technical resources and ensuring safety of the documents. Workload of storages of RT National archive makes more than 100 %. Central state archive of audio-visual documents of Republic and State press archive do not have separate buildings. There is a high percentage of out-of-date computer equipment in municipal archives. State and municipal archives are in need of additional personnel in connection with continuous liquidation of organizations and increase of citizens’ addresses.
Danil Ibragimov noted that last year much emphasis was put on issues of forming archive fund and work with owners of valuable documentary collections.
Danil Ibragimov stressed that in 2010 info technologies were intensively implemented in archive-keeping.
RT Prime Minister said that adoption of electronic services was one of priority areas in activity of state authorities.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
On May 14, Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda, who arrived on a working visit in Kazan to take part in the events of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, was met by Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin and other officials at the Kazan International Airport.
On 9 May Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in a ceremony of laying flowers to the monument “The victorious soldier” dedicated to the celebrations of the Day of Victory in the Great Patriotic War (WW II) 1941-1945 and held at Arsk cemetery in Kazan.
