Ravil Muratov: To ensure security in crowded places one should employ private guards

Not only militia officers should be engaged into safeguarding of transport objects and other crowded places. For these purposes owners should employ private security companies. Such demand was announced today by First Vice-premier Ravil Muratov in the course of detour of transport objects in Kazan.
First Vice-premier visited railway station of republican capital, underground station “Kremlevskaya”, Kazan bus station and Privolzhski market.
Director General of MUP “Metroelectrotrans” Asfan Galyavov informed that design and estimate documents for set of measures aimed at increasing security of passengers had already been prepared. Financing of these measures should be provided by federal budget.
Four officers are in charge at Kazan bus station. Two of them examine all visitors.
Ravil Muratov was dissatisfied with the situation at Privolzhski market. Though the market is secured by 8 officers of private security companies and the building is equipped by video control systems, it is impossible to ensure security in total confusion among rows of shopping stalls.
In the interview with journalists Ravil Muratov summed up the results of his detour. He noted that a number of measures on improving safety should be implemented at all objects he had visited.
Vice-premier defined common remark - absence of officers of private security companies. In his opinion, their presence should be obligatory requirement imposed on any crowded place.
Ravil Muratov reminded that during recent fire in a bar on Kremlevskaya Street an officer had to be in charge in the hall whose duty would imply evacuation of people.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
On May 14, Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda, who arrived on a working visit in Kazan to take part in the events of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, was met by Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin and other officials at the Kazan International Airport.
On 9 May Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in a ceremony of laying flowers to the monument “The victorious soldier” dedicated to the celebrations of the Day of Victory in the Great Patriotic War (WW II) 1941-1945 and held at Arsk cemetery in Kazan.
