Mikhail Babich and Rustam Minnikhanov visit laboratories of chemical institute of Kazan Federal University

On November 26, accompanied by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov and rector of Kazan Federal University Ilshat Gafurov, Russian Presidential Envoy in Volga Federal District Mikhail Babich visited chemical institute named after A.M.Butlerov in Kazan.

Babich looked around the new building of the institute, got familiar with academic programmes, learning environment and scientific activity of students.

Ilshat Gafurov said that integration of the university interests and companies is important. He told about the laboratory of catalytical intrastratal oil treatment and the unit for studying oil oxidation in porous medium. The equipment was developed by specialists of the Kazan University and an American company. The laboratory actively cooperates with Skolkovo and Tatneft Oil Company.
