Ensuring security at industrial and construction objects should be system-based. Such opinion was suggested by RT President Rustam Minnikhanov at final session of Volga Department of Federal service for ecological, technological and nuclear supervision. Head of Volga Department Boris Petrov reported on results of activity of the institution.
By his words, situation with industrial security at dangerous production objects is still very complicated. The number of revealed violation of industrial security requirements is annually the same.
Boris Petrov noted non-compliance of many functioning plants with modern security requirements established in 2003.
Head of department stressed that it is necessary to analyze reasons of injuries and accidents at production sites in order to avoid them in future.
RT President Rustam Minnikhanov noted that being an industrial region, republic is interested in efficient work of Federal service for ecological, technological and nuclear supervision.
R. Minnikhanov informed that in 2010 volume of industrial production made 1,044 trillion roubles, gross regional product reached the mark of one trillion roubles. Investments into basic capital made 306 billion roubles.
“Such major projects as JSC “TANECO”, Universiade objects, transport interchanges need serious control”, - RT President emphasized.
Rustam Minnikhanov underlined that the main purpose of activity of Federal service for ecological, technological and nuclear supervision is human safety. “2010 was not so satisfactory in this respect. 105 people died at production and construction sites”, - the President stated with regret.
