On December 6, at Tatarstan Government House, Prime Minister of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov met the delegation from Razavi Khorasan Province (Iran) headed by Deputy Governor for economic issues Moravej Alshariem.
Khalikov thanked the guests for their interest in the republic as one of the Russian regions. He noted that Tatarstan and Iran have close contacts in the context of Russia-Iran relations.
According to Khalikov, a lot of political contacts, which helped to strengthen the existing relations, have been established over the last two years. Iranian students study at Kazan universities, the concert of Iranian classical music was held in Kazan in 2016.
The Prime Minister noted that a lot of foreign companies open their production in Tatarstan to enter the Russian market. He briefly told about Alabuga Special Economic Zone and successfully working enterprises opened there by foreign businessmen.
Ildar Khalikov expressed his confidence that the current visit would strengthen the relations and define steps for mutually beneficial cooperation.
Moravej Alshariem thanked for the opportunity to visit Tatarstan and invited Ildar Khalikov to visit Razavi Khorasan Province.
