Ildar Khalikov: Presence of “PricewaterhouseCoopers” in Tatarstan is important for us

Consulting and audit services of “PricewaterhouseCoopers” company may be interesting and useful for large enterprises, small and medium business. This was announced by RT PM Ildar Khalikov at the meeting with representatives of PwC.
The event took place in House of RT Government with participation of Minister of economy Midkhat Shagiakhmetov, Director of autonomous noncommercial organization “Directorate of Universiade-2013” Vladimir Leonov, Aide to RT PM on foreign economic activity Alfred Zakirov, Head of Department for economy, finance and disposal of state property under RT Cabinet office Albert Nafigin.
Opening the meeting, Ildar Khalikov noted that “PricewaterhouseCoopers” company has long been known in Tatarstan and is a reliable partner. “Since 1995 large republican enterprises have been company’s clients. Currently when economy is developing and major projects with participation of foreign partners are being realized, cooperation with PwC is especially important for us”, - RT PM stressed.
Partner of PwC audit department David Gray considers Kazan and Tatarstan to be important place for work. Permanent office of the company has been functioning in Kazan for three years. PricewaterhouseCoopers cooperates with large Tatarstan enterprises.
Representatives of PwC informed that the company would like to expand its activity in Tatarstan by working with small and medium business.
By words of RT PM various economic forums are held in republic very often. Within the limits of such meetings PricewaterhouseCoopers may tell Tatarstan entrepreneurs about its services.
Head of RT Government reminded as well that wide infrastructure for developing small and medium business has been created in republic – special economic zone “Alabuga”, technoparks, industrial parks. “I suppose it is a suitable domain for activity of Audit Company”, - I.Khalikov said.
Officials of PwC suggested Tatarstan their services as an independent expert for presenting potential of special economic zone “Alabuga” to foreign investors.
Minister of economy Midkhat Shagiakhmetov said that Tatarstan authorities are interested in expert opinion of PwC regarding activation of innovative potential of large republican companies and assessment of functioning in republic technoparks.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
On May 14, Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda, who arrived on a working visit in Kazan to take part in the events of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, was met by Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin and other officials at the Kazan International Airport.
