Rustam Minnikhanov inspects construction of exhibition complex “Kazan EXPO”, housing complex “M-14” and new zoological and botanical garden

On January 10, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov inspected the construction of international exhibition complex “Kazan EXPO”, housing complex “M-14” and new zoological and botanical garden.

At the exhibition complex “Kazan EXPO”, Rustam Minnikhanov was told that the total area makes 51,000 square metres. The complex includes two exhibition halls, congress hall, gallery, administrative offices, conference halls, and public dining area. The main construction works are to be completed in summer of 2017.

Three houses are being built at the housing complex “M-14”, and degree of their readiness makes 65 per cent. According to CEO of the Presidential State housing fund Talgat Abdullin, all engineering networks have been built. The houses are to be commissioned in the third quarter of the current year.

Later on, Rustam Minnikhanov went to see the construction of new zoological and botanical garden “Zambezi River” at the Kaban Lake (Kazan). The pedestrian tunnel will connect the new garden with the Kazan Zoo. New cages will be built for gorillas, elephants, giraffes, lions and other African animals.

The president looked around the construction site and discussed current issues with the builders. He offered to create a multimedia entertainment zone for the youngest visitors of the zoo.
