Tatarstan President holds joint session of Council and General Meeting of Association of Innovative Regions of Russia

On January 12, during the international academic and research conference "The Gaidar Forum – 2017" in Moscow, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov held a joint session of the Council and General Meeting of the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia. 

Opening the meeting, Minnikhanov noted that the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia (AIRR) has proved itself to be an authoritative expert platform, forming a common vector of innovative development of Russia.

He reminded that during last year's meeting, which was held during the St. Petersburg Economic Forum, a number of organizational issues of the AIRR activities were discussed. In particular, it was decided to amend the statute and structure of the management bodies, work schedule of the Association was approved.

In general, Minnikhanov appreciated the work the Association done last year and expressed confidence that effective cooperation with the federal government will be continued.

Then, the meeting summed up results the AIRR activities for 2016 and set main tasks for the near future.

Director of the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia Ivan Fedotov, Governor Kaluga Region Anatoly Artamonov and heads of other Russian regions took part in the meeting.
