Rustam Minnikhanov took part in All-Russia conference themed «Issues of implementing authorities in sphere of forest relations»

March, 21. RT President is in St. Petersburg to take part in All-Russia meeting on implementing authorities in sphere of forest relations by the regions. The meeting was held by First deputy chairman of RF government Viktor Zubkov.

According to Viktor Zubkov, about 4 bln. roubles were not received from forest tenants in 2010. Volume if illegal lumbering is still an urgent problem in forestry. Viktor Zubkov informed that a working group for solving this problem was created in RF Government.

One more serous issue discussed at All-Russia meeting was forest fires. In 2010 forest fires became a real trial for the industry and caused damage.

We remind that in 2011 by the Edict of RF President Federal forestry agency is directly subordinate to RF Government. Authorities on making policy in the sphere of forestry, legislative initiative and implementation of supervision in forests were delegated to the agency.

All-Russia meeting was held in Tavrichesky palace with participation of heads of Federal forestry agency, representatives of RF Ministry of emergency situations, RF Accounts chamber, General Prosecutor’s office and RF State Duma.
