Spring flood in Tatarstan is forecasted for March 25 – April 5

“Traffic restrictions for cargo transport will be imposed in Tatarstan from April, 15”, - RT Minister of transport and road construction Lenar Safin informed at briefing in RT Cabinet.
Briefing was dedicated to issues of preparation of all responsible ministries and institutions of republic for flood-dangerous period.
According to the Head of Chief Department of Russian Ministry of emergency situations on RT - Minister for civil defence and emergency situations Rafis Khabibullin break-up of rivers and advent of flowage is forecasted for March 25 – April 5. By and large 4098 rivers extending for 19 thousand km flow on the territory of Tatarstan Republic, there are four water storage basins, 1025 hydrotechnical constructions.
Rafis Khabibullin informed that in case of the worst circumstances Kazan and 17 regions of republic may be under flood.

On 1 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Russian Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko introduced Ayrat Farrakhov, who was appointed the Acting Rector of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) to its staff.

Leyla Fazleeva holds a meeting of the commission under the Rais of Tatarstan on the Russian language
On 31 March in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva hold a meeting of the Commission on the Russian language under the Rais of Tatarstan, which considered key issues of supporting and developing Russian language, including new educational initiatives and discussed programmes of popularization of Russian literature and activities to preserve the language heritage.

On 28 March, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with participation of the Acting Chairman of the State Council of the republic Marat Akhmetov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Azat Ziganshin informed that the regional central cleaning up action will be held in the republic on 25 April and clarified that the location of the national cleanup day will be announced later as the site will be chosen taking into account the opinions of Tatarstan residents.
On 28 March, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with participation of the regional and the Acting Chairman of the State Council of the republic Marat Akhmetov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Damir Shaydullin informed about statistics on the collection of utility bills payments from the population and data on the payment discipline of enterprises and organizations of the republic.
