Rustam Minnikhanov: Openness for the public and readiness for constructive dialogue are characteristic of Tatarstan prosecution authorities

On January 14, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Head prosecutor of the republic Ildus Nafikov and other officials took part in a solemn event dedicated to 295th anniversary of the Russian prosecution authorities.

The Russian Prosecutor General Yuri Chaika congratulated prosecutors on the video and they watched a video about activity of Tatarstan prosecution authorities in 2016.

Welcoming employees of prosecution authorities, Rustam Minnikhanov said that ensuring legality, law and order especially during major international events is their priority task. He also reminded that 2016 was announced the Year of water protection areas in the republic. Large-scale work was done on cleaning water side and breaking unauthorized buildings. Prosecution authorities created law-enforcement and judicial practice in this sphere and it was highly assessed by Russian prosecutor’s office.

“2017 was announced the Year of ecology and public spaces, and we will use systemic approaches in solving problems of environmental protection,” Tatarstan President said.  He also noted the unusual methods of attraction of the public to ecological problems used by employees of prosecution authorities.

Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated Ildus Nafikov on receiving the title “State Counsellor of Justice of the 2nd class”, and handed in state awards of the Republic of Tatarstan to the most distinguished employees.
