Ildar Khalikov: “Clean water is the basis of high living standards and longevity”

“Provision of clean water for population is one the most important tasks of authorities since it is the basis of high living standards and longevity”, - RT Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov said at opening of the 2nd specialized exhibition and congress “Clean water. Kazan”.
The 2nd specialized exhibition and congress “Clean water. Kazan” is being held in Kazan on March, 29-31 at “Kazan fair” within the limits of realization of events of Federal target program “Clean water” for 2011-2017. Exposition represents the whole range of equipment and services for recovery and protection of water resources, communal and industrial water supply systems, repair of pipeline systems, heating and hot water supply, design of objects, sewage treatment, water pack, achievements of industrial enterprises and their projects in other sectors of water industry.
Among the participants of the exhibition are Russian industrial, manufacturing and construction enterprises, plants, specialized organizations from 17 Russian cities and some foreign countries.
Speaking at opening ceremony of the exhibition Ildar Khalikov noted that a large number of participants and status of this event are not occasional. “The example of developed countries shows how carefully people now treat issues of life quality and longevity. Clean water is the basis for solving these tasks”, - I.Khalikov stressed.
RT PM took part in a plenary session “Clean water”.
Head of RT Government emphasized a number of problems existing in Tatarstan in the sphere of water supply: pollution of water supply sources, absence of tools for using advanced technologies of water purification, poor state of water supply and water discharge systems.
On 1 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Russian Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko introduced Ayrat Farrakhov, who was appointed the Acting Rector of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) to its staff.
In his speech Mikhail Murashko emphasized that today KSMU is rightfully considered one of the most respected in the country and said:”Ayrat (Zakievich) has been officially appointed the Acting Rector and I am sure that under his leadership the University will maintain the positions it has achieved and, of course, will continue its development.”
On 31 March in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva hold a meeting of the Commission on the Russian language under the Rais of Tatarstan, which considered key issues of supporting and developing Russian language, including new educational initiatives and discussed programmes of popularization of Russian literature and activities to preserve the language heritage.
On 28 March, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with participation of the Acting Chairman of the State Council of the republic Marat Akhmetov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Azat Ziganshin informed that the regional central cleaning up action will be held in the republic on 25 April and clarified that the location of the national cleanup day will be announced later as the site will be chosen taking into account the opinions of Tatarstan residents.
On 28 March, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with participation of the regional and the Acting Chairman of the State Council of the republic Marat Akhmetov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Damir Shaydullin informed about statistics on the collection of utility bills payments from the population and data on the payment discipline of enterprises and organizations of the republic.
