Chief of Staff of Tatarstan President’s Administration Asgat Safarov takes part in summary session of regional agency “Tatmedia”

On February 1, at a session “On results of work of the Regional press and mass media agency “Tatmedia” in 2016 and tasks for 2017”, Head of the agency Airat Zaripov said that as of January 2017 1039 mass media agencies are registered in Tatarstan.

Construction of a modern digital on-air broadcasting network that will broadcast 20 TV channels is completed under the federal state programme “Development of TV and radio broadcasting in the Russian Federation until 2018” in Tatarstan. More than 98 per cent of population is covered by digital broadcasting. Analogue TV broadcasting will also be used in 2018.

Zaripov told that the channel “Tatarstan 24” is planned to be launched in 2017.

Chief of Staff of Tatarstan President’s Administration Asgat Safarov, Deputy Minister of Communications and Mass Media Aleksey Volin, Head of the Federal Service for Supervision in the Sphere of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Communications in Volga Federal District Natalia Alkhimovich took part in the session.
