Rustam Minnikhanov: Employees of Tatarstan Ministry of emergency situations make a considerable contribution to sustainable development of the Republic of Tatarstan

On February 3, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a joint session of Tatarstan Ministry of emergency situations and Ministry for civil defense and emergency situations. The session was dedicated to results of activity of civil defense and territorial subsystem of prevention and liquidation of emergency situations for 2016 and tasks for 2017.

Making a keynote report at the session, Minister of civil defense and emergency situations Rafis Khabibullin said that the main tasks for the current year are overall assurance of safety during Confederations Cup 2017 and preparation for FIFA World Cup 2018; increasing the level of security of population and territory of the republic from emergency situations, decreasing the number of fires and losses of life, increasing cultural behavior at water basins; implementation of new forms and methods of supervision in the sphere of fire safety, planning and holding of events in relation to objects of defense based on risk-oriented approach.  

Khabibullin also focused on the urgent problem of downsizing of the workforce.

The minister also reminded that the National championship “Young professionals” will be held in 2018, and WorldSkills championship will be held in 2019.
