Rustam Minnikhanov: Tatarstan is interested in the production of Ford vehicles in SEZ Alabuga

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met in Moscow with representatives of top management of Ford and Sollers. The parties discussed the preparation of a project to manufacture Ford cars Ford on the territory of the special economic zone Alabuga.
In February, Sollers and Ford Motor Company signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a joint venture in Russia. It is assumed that the joint venture will include production facilities of companies in Vsevolozhsk (Leningrad region), as well as in Naberezhnye Chelny and the special economic zone Alabuga (Tatarstan). Manufactured will be passenger cars and light commercial vehicles Ford.
Today, the Sollers company is one of the largest resident companies of the special economic zone Alabuga. During the meeting Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that the Tatarstan leadership is interested in developing the project. He also stressed that Alabuga has everything for the implementation of the new automotive production. Rustam Minnikhanov said that the SEZ has the capacity to create autocomponent production.
In addition, he reminded, that another project for the production of automotive glass and mirrors (ZAO Tarkio Russ Glass ") is unfolding in Alabuga. The Tatarstan President offered to explore all possibilities of using the Alabuga platform and discuss details of the project to build Ford cars in the coming months and to meet at the special economic zone.

On 24 April in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin held a joint meeting the Council for Enforcement of Legislation of Languages of Tatarstan and the organizational committee for celebrations of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay which summarized results of work of the regional law enforcement on official languages of the republic and considered progress of the implementation of the plan of main events for preparation and celebration of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay .
On 21 April, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, the Head of the Russian Federal Tax Service for Tatarstan Marat Safiullin said that slightly more than one week is left to file an income tax return for 2025 with the tax service. According to the results of the tax campaign 5.5.bn rubles should come to the regional budget, he said and informed who should submit declarations and who is entitled to benefits.
