Rustam Minnikhanov: Even during the transition period Kazan Federal University should follow the development program

The development of Kazan Federal University should not stop even during the reorganization and integration period, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said at the meeting of the KFU Board of Trustees.
Opening the meeting, the Tatarstan President reminded that since the previous meeting of the KFU Board of Trustees in December an important event took place in the university life. The Russian Education and Science Minister, Andrei Fursenko, singed an order for annexation of State University of Humanities and Pedagogy, Kazan State Finance and Economics Institution and Elabuga State Pedagogical University to the federal university. Rustam Minnikhanov reminded that now on the basis of the annexed institutions KFU new structural departments will be formed.
“It is a crucial moment for Kazan Federal University. The real building of the federal university has started; events to unite research and educational potential of the annexed institutions are being held,” the Tatarstan President said.
“The transition period is never easy but even in these conditions we have to follow the development program meeting the deadlines,” Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
