President of U.S.-Russia Business Council Eduard Verona: one of the main tasks of USRBC – to spread information in the USA on investment possibilities of Tatarstan

One of the main tasks of U.S.-Russia Business Council upon visit to the Republic of Tatartsan – to disseminate the information about Tatarstan, its economy and investment possibilities among the US business representatives. This was stated immediately after meeting with RT President R.N. Minnikhanov by president and general director of U.S.-Russia Business Council Eduard Verona. By his words people in the USA know little about Russian regions and their economies.
E. Verona informed that this is his first visit to Kazan but many of his colleagues from the council had already not once been in Tatarstan capital and some of them conduct business here.
«Regarding the investment climate in your republic I read many times and heard impressions about Tatarstan, - USRBC president said. – Mostly from business men who are present in this market and entered their investments. During the meeting with RT President R.N. Minnikhanov I told him that our purpose is to learn why they start their business here, by what is attractive your republic and disseminate info in the USA and overseas among business representatives and potential investors. Upon coming I will report to members of USRBC about the results of our visit to Tatarstan».
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. We all remember with gratitude the outstanding philanthropists – the Akchurin brothers, the Alafuzovs, and the Ushkovs, whose good deeds and generous donations contributed to the development of culture, education, and healthcare in our republic. The glorious traditions are continued by modern philanthropists and patrons of Tatarstan.
On 12 April in his address to residents of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated them with the Space Exploration Day and said: “April 12, 1961 has forever been inscribed into the world history as the day of triumph of the Soviet science and engineering thought. The flight of Yuriy Gagarin opened the way to the stars for the humankind and demonstrated to the whole world the might of our country.
On 4 April , speaking at a closing ceremony of the XX Russian Venture Forum held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the Russian Venture Forum has confirmed its status of the point of attraction of technological development leaders.
The Forum created a unified scientific, technological and investment space where scientific ideas are transformed into competitive products, and startups gain access to capital and markets. Its business programme is organically integrated into the regional and federal agenda for achieving technological sovereignty and leadership of Russia, he said.
On 1 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Russian Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko introduced Ayrat Farrakhov, who was appointed the Acting Rector of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) to its staff.
In his speech Mikhail Murashko emphasized that today KSMU is rightfully considered one of the most respected in the country and said:”Ayrat (Zakievich) has been officially appointed the Acting Rector and I am sure that under his leadership the University will maintain the positions it has achieved and, of course, will continue its development.”
