As many as 389,700 square meters of housing commissioned in Tatarstan

On February 18, speaking at a video-conference held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov at the Government House of the republic, Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Utilities of the republic Irek Faizullin reported that since the beginning of the year the State Construction Supervision and State Labour Inspectorate have conducted 185 inspections in the sphere of labour safety in construction industry.

Addressing the meeting, Faizullin asked everyone to intensify work with construction organizations in terms of compliance with safety rules and standards.

Faizullin went on to report on the implementation of the programme to relocate people from dilapidated housing in the regions of Tatarstan.

Minnikhanov commented on the criticism from some federal mass media regarding resettling people from dilapidated houses in the republic. He instructed all the departments to give the most serious and careful attention to this issue. According to him, it is necessary to collect all the documents, reports of inspection and examination of the state of the houses, based on which decisions to include buildings into the dilapidated housing fund were made.

Faizullin also reported that as of February 17 as many as 389,700 square meters of housing or 16.2 per cent of the plan have been commissioned in Tatarstan.
