On February 20, during his working visit to the United Arab Emirates, Tatarstan President had meetings with representatives of business community and country's leaders.
At his meeting with Advisor to the UAE Emir Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan Minnikhanov pointed out that the UAE is one of the most attractive partners for the development of economic contacts: "Due to the wise policy of the leadership, your country is a prosperous state with a strong and stable economy. Governments and business circles of Russia and the United Arab Emirates are making every efforts to develop cooperation between our countries in various spheres. Tatarstan is ready to actively participate in these processes at the regional level."
During the meeting, Tatarstan President told Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan about the current economic and investment potential of the republic and noted that business circles of the United Arab Emirates are regular participants of the International Economic Summit of Russia and OIC countries - «KAZANSUMMIT». At the end of the meeting, Minnikhanov invited Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan to visit Tatarstan at any time convenient for him.
Later on the same day, Minnikhanov accompanied by Minister of Industry and Trade of the republic Albert Karimov, Director of Ak Bars Holding Company Ivan Egorov and Director General of Zelenodolsk Shipyard Renat Mistakhov looked around naval vessels at the Naval Defence and Maritime Security Exhibition NavDEХ 2017.
Participants of the International Defense Exhibition IDEX-2017 were demonstrated all-terrain amphibious vehicle "Viking" produced by ATON-IMPULSE (Naberezhnye Chelny). Director General of the company Arthur Touktarov told Tatarstan President about a joint project with the UAE company ARJ HOLDING on launching small-scale production of these off-road vehicles in the UAE.
Rustam Minnikhanov was also impressed by what he saw and called the all-terrain vehicle amphibious "Viking" "the best car in the world" in this class.
Then, Minnikhanov headed for the Kingdom of Bahrain with the Russian delegation led by Ministry of Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov.
