Rustam Minnikhanov: Modernization of air passes through state border in airport “Kazan” is particularly important on the threshold of Universiade 2013

From 12 air passes across state border functioning on the territory of Volga federal district the most intensively working are in Kazan, Samara, Ufa, Perm, and Orenburg. Such information was given by chief of Federal agency on arranging state border of the RF Dmitri Bezdelov at the meeting in Kazan.
Interdepartmental regional meeting on condition and perspectives of developing system of air passes through state border of the Russian Federation functioning in the Volga federal district took place in House of RT government with participation of RT President Rustam Minnikhanov.
Rustam Minnikhanov reminded that on the threshold of preparation and holding World summer Universiade-2013 in Kazan development and modernization of air passes through state border in airport “Kazan” are particularly important. Representatives of more than 170 countries, 12 000 sportsmen and 100 000 guests and tourists are expected to come to Tatarstan in order to participate in Universiade-2013. By words of R.Minnikhanov, it requires serious work on developing the system of air passes through state border. He noted that now Tatarstan and Russian border services agency have built good working relationships and assured that republic will continue following all agreements in this issue.
According to Deputy plenipotentiary of RF president in Volga federal district Nikolai Ovsienko the equipping level of air passes does not fully meet regulatory requirements: infrastructure of airports is not developed, air passes have low acceptance rate. Much emphasis should be put on Kazan because large amount of work is expected to be realized here in connection with Universiade-2013.
Nikolai Ovsienko informed that objective interaction of state authorities and relevant ministries, and use mechanisms of private-state partnership should be established.

On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
On May 14, Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda, who arrived on a working visit in Kazan to take part in the events of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, was met by Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin and other officials at the Kazan International Airport.
