Ildar Khalikov: Zainsk region is ranked the 15th in the rating of development of municipalities in 2016

On February 21, during his working trip to Zainsk municipal region, Prime Minister of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov took part in the 16th meeting the the local Council of the 3rd convocation.

Before the meeting, public deputies and guests got familiar with an exhibition of local industrial and processing enterprises. 

The meeting began with the demonstration of a videoclip on results of social and economic development of the region in 2016 and prospective areas of work in 2017.

Head of the region Razif Karimov made a keynote report at the meeting. Deputy Ministry of Economy of the republic Oleg Pelevin informed the meeting about measures of state support of small and medium-sized business in Tatarstan and the state of small and medium enterprises in Zainsk municipal region.

Speaking at the meeting, Khalikov briefed about results achieved in the economy and industry of Tatarstan in 2016, focusing on such projects as the Alabuga special economic zone, the innovative city of Innopolis and others.

"Zainsk region makes its worthy contribution to the economy of the republic. In 2016, it is ranked 15th in the rating of the development of municipalities, which is two lines higher than in 2015. Index of industrial production made 100.7% per cent in 2016. Other key indicators are also quite good,” he said.

Prime Minister also emphasized that Zainsk region is one of six regions of the republic, being part of the Kama innovative territorial and production cluster "InnoKam." According to him, it is important to take advantage of this situation for the development of the town's and region's economy.

Khalikov pointed out positive changes in the social and economic development of Zainsk region, noting points of growth and the need to improve some indicators.

He also focused on the fact that Zainsk region has clear understanding of the current situation, and also noted high potential of its local dwellers. At the end of the meeting, the most distinguished employees of the region were awarded.
