Capital repair started at 327 multi-apartment houses in Tatarstan

On February 25, reporting at a regional video-conference held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov at the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Utilities Irek Faizullin said that capital repair has started at 327 of 998 multi-apartment houses in 36 municipalities. 

Faizullin continued that as of February 22, works on capital repair of educational facilities have started at 141 objects, including 25 comprehensive and 7 special schools, as well as 109 kindergartens.

He said that under the Gasification Fund programme 278.28 km of water supply lines, 29 water towers and 36 artesian wells will be built in regional settlements in 2017. In total, 12,295 lighting units, 304 accounting and control counters, 417 km of electric power supply lines will be installed to improve street lighting in villages and settlements of the republic.

It is planned to repair 331 cow-houses, 26 vegetable storehouses this year, the Minister continued. According to Minnikhanov, it is important that these facilities will be in demand. "We have been implementing these programmes for many years, spending huge amounts of money. Therefore, cow-houses, medical and obstetrical centres, and rural clubs should work. It is necessary to set up a special monitoring system to control how these facilities are used. The same refers to parks and gardens. It is necessary to maintaim and manage them properly,” he said.
