Rustam Minnikhanov: Tatarstan is a good place for locating Czech business

President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov offered Czech businessmen to create joint enterprises and organize their own production in Tatarstan. In the course of meeting with delegation of Czech businessmen headed by Minister of industry and trade of Czech Republic Martin Kotzourek which took place in House of RT government R.Minnikhanov told about necessity to develop economic cooperation between two industrial regions.
Delegation of Czech business community arrived in Kazan with two-day visit to take part in Tatarstan - Czech business forum. The delegation consists of heads of Czech industrial enterprises, representatives of banking sector and members of Czech parliament and is headed by Czech Minister of industry and trade Martin Kotzourek.
Head of Republic paid attention to decrease in level of goods turnover between Czech Republic and Tatarstan. By words of R.Minnikhanov, hydrocarbon raw materials form the basis of goods turnover. At the same time RT President reminded about successful realization of joint projects such as production of medicines, procurement of lampposts to Kazan, equipment for underground railways and plant TANECO.
Among perspective projects of cooperation R.Minnikhanov singled out construction of hotel-trade complex in Kazan that will be financed by Czech bank. There are also plans for purchasing buses for Universiade in Czech Republic and some projects in agricultural sector.
Czech Minister of industry and trade Martin Kotzourek informed that visit to Tatarstan attracted interest of Czech businessmen. Martin Kotzourek informed that among perspective projects for cooperation are modernization of presses at “KAMAZ” with participation of Czech company, opening of Czech Union of mechanical engineers. Besides, Embassy of Czech Republic in Russia also plans to open a visa centre in Kazan.
Martin Kotzourek invited Tatarstan delegation to take part in industrial exhibition in Brno in October 2011.

On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
On May 14, Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda, who arrived on a working visit in Kazan to take part in the events of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, was met by Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin and other officials at the Kazan International Airport.
