On March 1, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev congratulated Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov on his 60th anniversary.

Please accept my sincere congratulations on your 60th anniversary. You enjoy great respect in Tatarstan, where largely due to you much has been done for the dynamic development of the republic, the strengthening of its industrial and agricultural potential, the improvement of living standards of people. Today, large-scale investment projects, including special economic zone "Innopolis" that me and you opened, are being implemented at your initiative here.

Besides, modern polyclinics, schools, kindergartens, residential complexes, roads are being built, improvement of cities and settlements is underway in the republic. All this has been supported by your compatriots, who value you not only as a talented manager, but also as a friendly, warm-hearted and thoughtful person. Please remain as you are.

On 1 December Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in N.I. Lobachevsky Prize and Medal Award Ceremony held in Kazan Federal University and handed in the award to the Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Chief Researcher of the St. Petersburg Department of Steklov Mathematical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences Sergei Ivanov who was awarded for the outstanding achievements in fundamental and applied mathematics.

Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers discusses measures on stepping up traffic safety, decrease of car accidents and reducing the severity of their consequences in the republic

On 27 November the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with al municipalities taking part in it via videoconference which discussed measures on stepping up traffic safety, decrease of car accidents and reducing the severity of their consequences in the republic.
