On March 10, at the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with Director of the Russian Federal Nuclear Centre - All-Russian Research Institute of Experimental Physics Valentin Kostyukov.
Welcoming the guests, Minnikhanov noted the importance of the activities of the Russian Federal Nuclear Centre. “You solve a lot of tasks, the modern nuclear science is facing today. We are pleased to meet you and are familiar with your activities both for the needs of the defense complex and for other industries,” he said.
Minnikhanov also noted that the previous meeting with senior officials of the Russian Federal Nuclear Centre gave its results and became an impetus to the further development of mutually beneficial relations. "Your potential should be actively used. Moreover, we are on the eve of the fourth technological revolution," he said.
In his turn, Kostyukov said that Tatarstan is the leader in Russia in the use of digital technologies. Therefore, we should cooperate on these issues, develop and implement principles of the digital economy, he continued.
The meeting also discussed issues of cooperation, including close relations in the scientific and research fields.
During the meeting in the presence of Minnikhanov, Kostyukov and Rector of Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University Ilshat Gafurov signed an agreement on cooperation. Besides, Kostyukov and Rector of Tupolev Kazan National Technical University Albert Gilmutdinov signed a memorandum of cooperation.
