On March 14, it was reported at a meeting of the Supervisory Board of the Ak Bars Hockey Academy named after Yu.I. Moiseyev that Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov became Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Ak Bars Hockey Academy named after Yu.I. Moiseyev.
Deputy Secretary of the Russian Security Council Rashid Nurgaliyev also became a member of the Supervisory Board of the Hockey Academy.
President of Tatarstan Ice Hockey Federation and Ak Bars Ice Hockey Club, Director General of Tatneft Oil Company Nail Maganov addressed participants of the meeting. In particular, he reminded that over the last 13-15 years one of the best infrastructures in the country for the development of ice hockey has been created in Tatarstan. There are 42 palaces with artificial ice covering, 32 specialized children's and youth sports schools in the republic, he said. According to Maganov, the analysis of the situation with the development of both mass and professional hockey was conducted, the world experience and modern trends were studied. In general, it showed that the main task is the training of the coaching staff, the strengthening of the personnel potential.
Maganov also said that the Ak Bars Hockey Academy named after Moiseev will deal with issues related to the methodology and its development at ice hockey schools.
In his turn, Minnikhanov noted that ice hockey is a traditional sport for our country. He also said that the training of the coaching staff is one of the most important tasks for today. "If we do not train coaches, we will not succeed. The system should work as a pyramid, starting from the bottom and ending with the top, Ak Bars and Neftekhimik teams," he said.
Minnikhanov also noted that an excellent sports infrastructure was created, and today it is important to develop ice hockey, to work on quality, on the systematic training of coaches, and on the methodology.
