Rustam Minnikhanov and President of WAIPA Alessandro Teixeira discussed mutually beneficial cooperation

Business delegation from Brazil may come to the Republic of Tatarstan with inception visit. Organization of such event was discussed on May,10 at the meeting of RT President Rustam Minnikhanov with Deputy minister of economic development of Brazil, CEO of ApexBrasil, President of WAIPA Mr Alessandro Teixeira.
The meeting took place at the site of investment forum Annual Investment Meeting 2011 (AIM-2011) that is being held in Dubai.
Alessandro Teixeira invited Rustam Minnikhanov to visit Brazil. The parties discussed prospects of mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation in several spheres including aircraft construction, oil-and-gas producing sector. Besides, Alessandro Teixeira supposes that Brazil may invest into some projects realized in Tatarstan. He also informed that as the president of WAIPA he is ready to assist Tatarstan in such issues as use of global standards in work with foreign investors, attraction of foreign investors, and attraction of investment funds from world financial institutes (international banks, organizations, OPEC, e.t.c.)
Rustam Minnikhanov and Alessandro Teixeira likewise spoke about entry of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency – TIDA into WAIPA.
By words of Chairman of Committee for developing small and medium entrepreneurship Linar Yakupov, new structure - Tatarstan Investment Development Agency was presented in Dubai within the limits of AIM-2011 at the session dedicated to cooperation of BRIC countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China). The key function of Agency is coordination of state authorities on interaction with domestic and foreign investors (function of “single window”).
Director of Department for external relations under RT President Administration, Aide to RT President on international issues Iskander Muflikhanov took part in the meeting.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
On May 14, Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda, who arrived on a working visit in Kazan to take part in the events of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, was met by Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin and other officials at the Kazan International Airport.
