First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Sergey Kiriyenko meets governors - members of the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia

On April 6, First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Sergey Kiriyenko had a working meeting with governors – members of the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia (AIRR).

Heads of 12 Russian region, including Tatarstan President, Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Head of the Republic of Mordovia, governors of the Altai Territory, the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the Perm Territory, governors of the Kaluga Region, the Lipetsk Region, the Novosibirsk Region, the Samara Region, the Tyumen Region, and the Ulyanovsk Region.

Opening the meeting, Tatarstan President, Chairman of the Council of the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia Rustam Minnikhanov noted that in January this year Russian President Vladimir Putin approved the Basics of State Regional Policy aimed at scientific and technological development of regions and increasing the competitiveness of the economy on the international market. Under this strategy, the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia (AIRR) has proved itself to be an authoritative expert platform that forms a common vector for the development of innovative development of Russian regions.

Participants of the meeting exchanged their views on improving, assessing the effectiveness and results of public administration in Russia and abroad, as well as stimulating the development of innovative and industrial clusters.
