Corporate university of “Sberbank” to be created in Kazan Federal University

Corporate university of “Sberbank” will be created on the basis of Kazan Federal University. The relevant agreement was signed in House of RT government by President of Sberbank German Gref and rector of Kazan Federal University Ilshat Gafurov in presence of RT President Rustam Minnikhanov.

President and Chairman of JSC «Sberbank of Russia» board German Gref arrived in Kazan in order to give the lecture “Stories of success: implementation of institutional structural reforms” within the limits of educational program of Russian academy of national economy and state service under RF President. The lecture was given in House of RT government with participation of RT President Rustam Minnikhanov, heads of republican ministries and departments.

Before the lecture perspective projects of Tatarstan in the sphere of construction, petrochemistry, and other industries had been presented to German Gref.

German Gref told about his own experience of reforming “Sberbank”, importance of human resources in work of any organization and advanced methods of HR management. He also told about necessity of reforming the system of higher education for the purpose of increasing its quality.

President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov thanked German Gref for interesting and useful lecture and emphasized that ideas expressed by Head of «Sberbank» would be realized in republic.

Agreement on creating Corporate university on the basis of Kazan Federal University was signed on finishing the lecture. The document was signed by German Gref and rector of Kazan Federal University Ilshat Gafurov. The joint project of «Sberbank» division and Kazan federal university implies creation of the bank’s department on the basis of Kazan Federal University,and centre of corporate education.
