Aleksey Pesoshin meets delegation of the Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in Russia

On April 11, at the Government House of the republic, Acting Prime Minister of Tatarstan Aleksey Pesoshin had a meeting with representatives of the Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in Russia.

During their three-day visit to Tatarstan, members of the Chamber of Commerce visited Tatarstan Investment Development Agency, Himgrad Technopolis, the innovative city of Innopolis, two special economic zones (Alabuga and Innopolis), held several meetings with senior officials of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the republic and Tatneftekhiminvest- Holding. 

Among the most promising areas for the development of cooperation between Tatarstan and the Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, Aleksey Pesoshin pointed out the exchange of experience in terms of activities of special economic zones and technology parks, expansion of industrial cooperation.

According to him, special attention should be paid to attracting potential investors to set up joint ventures in Tatarstan at the Alabuga Special Economic Zone, the Master Kama Industrial Park, IT parks, and the Himgrad Technopolis.

He noted that Naberezhnye Chelny,the second largest city of the republic, was the first city in Russia that received the status of the territory of advanced social and economic development. Today, seven residents have been registered there, which makes 35 per cent of the total number of residents of such territories in Russia at the moment.

Pesoshin told the guests about other major projects that are planned to be implemented in Tatarstan in the near future, including Russia's largest interregional multimodal logistics centre in Sviyazhsk, the construction of the Europe-Western China Highway, matches during the FIFA Confederations Cup-2017 and the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Head of the Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in Russia Oleg Prozorov thanked the leadership of the republic for the hospitality and high level of organization of the visit of the business delegation. He briefly described the preliminary results of their work in Tatarstan, meetings held and agreements reached. "We expect that we will continue our fruitful cooperation," he added.
