Agreement between Roskomnadzor and Tatarstan signed on cooperation gor preparing to Universiade

The agreement on basics of interaction in preparation and holding of Universiade -2013 in Kazan between Republic of Tatarstan and Federal service on supervision in sphere of communication and info technologies has been fixed today in a capital of the republic. The signatures in a document were put by chief of Roskomnadzor Sergei Sitnikov and President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. In a meeting held in RT House of Government took part RT Premier Ildar Khalikov, RT vice premier-minister of info and communication Nikolai Nikiforov, chief of republican agency on press and mass media Marat Muratov.

«We hope that the nearest perspective is the IT, there is no way out for us. All spheres of life are focused on info technologies», - R.Minnikhanov said.

By opinion of RT President introduction of digital TV broadcasting has an important value for the republic. «Digital broadcasting enables to locate TV in villages, of the same quality like in a city. This is a good beginning, we consider it very important», - stated R. Minnikahnov.

President of Tatarstan addressed Sergei Sitnikov with number of proposals. So, Rustam Minnikhanov requested chief of Roskomnadzor utterly to promote fast unwinding the networks of mobile connection of 4th generation. «We need a mighty info system to obtain and pass information. The existing systems do not satisfy us to full extent. We believe that 4G open new possibilities for us , - head of the republic said. – It is not important for us who is an operator, main is to have a service».

In the run-up to major sports events, by words of Rustam Minnikhanov, it is necessary to provide high quality connection and the republic relies for support from Roskomnadzor.

As a whole R. Minnikhanov highly estimated level of cooperation between Tatarstan and Roskomnadzor. «Thank you that all our proposals find support with you», - RT President addressed Sergei Sitnikov.

S. Sitnikov assured R. Minnikhanov that unfolding communication networks of 4th generation would be kept on including in the framework of recently set up consortium of leading mobile operators. «I think all will be OK and we go ahead», - chief of Roskomnadzor said.
