President of Austria Heinz Fischer: «I am very satisfied by my visit to Republic of Tatarstan»

President of Austrian Republic Heinz Fischer highly appreciated organization level of a visit by Austrian delegation to Kazan. This was stated today by head of Austria in the Kazan Kremlin after meeting with President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, who summed up the visit.
During the talks between the heads of Austrian Republic and Tatarstan in a fireplace hall of the Kazan Kremlin Rustam Minnikhanov thanked Heinz Fischer for a decision to visit Kazan within the context of visit to the Russian Federation. «Undoubtedly, this visit will serve as a serious push in promotion of our joint projects, - R. RT President noted that Tatarstan is learning much from Austria. «Your country is one the most high tech in the world. Russia and its regions should keep progressing on a way of modernization determined by the President of Russia. Without a serious strategic partnership it is impossible», - head of Tatasrtan maintains.
«I respect very much your country and its achievements. Today we are glad that a big delegation headed by you came to Kazan, - R.Minnikhanov addressed to Heinz Fischer. – But this is a big responsibility and therefore we should obtain good results from this visit».
In his turn Heinz Fischer admitted that the decision to visit Kazan in light of visit to Russia was true. « Our ambassador to Russia advised us to visit Kazan and this was good recommendation, - underlined President of Austria
Head of Austria highly assessed a visit program of Kazan. By words of H. Fischer, acquaintance with exhibition of RT economic potential was useful and informative for the delegation members, Tatarstan –Austrian economic forum enabled to sign number of important agreements. A meeting in expanded composition also took place in the Kremlin. The perspectives of developing relationship between Tatarstan and Austria were discussed during its holding. Rustam Minnikhanov informed, in particular, that his last visit to Austria was connected with plans of setting up enterprise on production of composite materials at Gorbunov Aviation works. Big hopes, by words of RT President, a leadership of the republic pins to cooperation with Austrian construction company «Strabag AG». R.Minnikhanov addressed likewise to the Austrian side with a request to consider a possibility of arranging regular direct flight between Kazan and Vienna. By opinion of Tatarstan head, a direst air commutation would promote adjusting and progressing business contacts.
Upon the end of the meeting Rustam Minnikhanov and Heinz Fischer have summed the visit of Austrian delegation to Kazan in an interview to journalists.
«Visit of President of Austrian Republic was short and content-rich and I am convinced it would be a serious impetus for our relationship Rustam Minnikhanov stated. – Trade-economic relations – this is a basis of our cooperation, but we are capable to cooperate in the spheres of culture, healthcare , education. This is very important and the potential of Austrian republic is high in these areas».
Rustam Minnikhanov noted that the visit to Kazan of such a prominent delegation is honor for the republic and promised Heinz Fischer that results of the visit would not be waited for long.
In his turn President of Austria said that President of Tatarstan is known abroad as a leader of quite dynamic developing region of Russia. «And our visit has confirmed this opinion about Tatarstan», - H. Fischer stated.
Head of Austrian Republic reminded that within the visit’s frameworks the number of agreements had been signed. «We have agreed that by this year autumn we would sum up interim results of the agreements implementation and determine the areas where we could make promotion», - Heinz Fischer said finalizing his remark.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
On May 14, Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda, who arrived on a working visit in Kazan to take part in the events of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, was met by Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin and other officials at the Kazan International Airport.
