Rustam Minnikhanov speaks at the opening of the Russian Venture Forum in Innopolis

On April 27, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the opening of the Russian Venture Forum in the city of Innopolis. This format has replaced the venture fairs and other regional events, with innovative companies and start-ups in search of investment being its main audience.

In his welcome speech, Minnikhanov noted that a venture exhibition, which had a regional scale some time ago, now has the status of an all-Russia forum, which undoubtedly has a positive effect on its performance. 

"I want to thank all the guests and participants of the event. Good conditions for communication, finding new contacts and implementing new projects have been created here. I wish you good work,” Tatarstan President said.

A total of 444 innovative companies from Russia and 11 countries, including the United States, Ireland, Estonia, Finland, etc., applied for participation in the forum and acceleration programme. The most popular areas were information technologies, hardware (gadgets and devices), new materials, oil and gas, medicine of the future, biotechnology. As many as 50 applications were approved for participation in the forum.

Aide to Russian President Andrey Fursenko, Aide to Tatarstan President Albert Nafigin, Minister of Information and Communication of the republic Roman Shaikhutdinov, Director of Tatarstan Investment and Venture Fund Ainur Aideldinov, senior officials of regional ministries and departments took part in the event.
