Rustam Minnikhanov discusses cooperation issues with representatives of Italian companies Mazzoni LB and Desmet Ballestra

On May 4, at their meeting, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and representatives of the Italian companies Mazzoni LB and Desmet Ballestra discussed issues related to the development of cooperation in the field of petrochemical industry, including new technologies and equipment.

Desmet Ballestra is an engineering group, engaged in fat and oil industry, as well as in various sectors of organic and inorganic chemical industry. The company designs and supplies process units for the production of surfactants, formulated detergents and other raw materials for personal and household products.

Established in 1946, the company employes 1200 people. The number of projects the company has worked on is 25,000. Research and development centres are located in Belgium, Italy, France and the UK.

The Desmet Ballestra Group  resulted from the merger of best-in-class companies in their field, including Mazzoni LB (Italy), which specializes in soap and glycerin processing plants.

Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Irek Boguslavsky took part in the meeting.
