Ildar Khalikov: social mortgage will not become commercial

“The program of housing construction by social mortgage is not and will not be the way of attracting income, and will stay a social program”, - RT Premier Ildar Khalikov said being interviewed by journalists.

By words of Head of RT government for the last few years social mortgage allowed solving housing problems of more than 55 000 Tatarstan families. Social mortgage and will be oriented towards employees of budget sector and those enterprises who are payers of State housing fund.

Tatarstan PM paid attention to possible difference in prices for housing offered by the program depending on location. “The reason is obvious – we cannot build simplified and cheap houses in the centre that should look nice. Any nice building is more expensive”, - Ildar Khalikov said.

“Social mortgage program is not the way of attracting income and housing is and will be offered at cost. Commercialization of State housing fund is not even mentioned. Issues like housing cost will be toughly controlled by RT government”, - Ildar Khalikov emphasized.
