Rustam Minnikhanov hands out memorable medals to children as part of the programme "Going to the FIFA Confederations Cup 2017 together with McDonald's!"

On May 11, at the Central Kazan Stadium, as part of the programme "Going to the FIFA Confederations Cup 2017 together with McDonald's ®!" Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and President of McDonald's Russia Khamzat Khasbulatov handed out memorable medals to 40 young football fans from the capital of Tatarstan giving them the right to take the players onto the pitch.

A real holiday was organised for young football fans. A famous commentator Georgy Cherdantsev, the official mascot of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Zabivaka (the one who scores), Ronald McDonald came to visit the children.

"This year a landmark football event – the FIFA Confederations Cup-2017 will be held in our country. Kazan is one of the cities where the tournament matches will take place. As you know the McDonald's Company has been a sponsor of the world soccer championships since 1994. The company supports not only great professional football, but also initiatives, which are very important for our territories. Today we are opening a children's football programme "Going to the FIFA Confederations Cup 2017 together with McDonald's ®!". I would like to wish young football players to change the situation in football in our country. You are our future, I hope that you are future world champion," Minnikhanov said.
