Prime Minister of Tatarstan handed awards to winners of republican contest “ECOleader”

Results of annual republican contests “ECOleader” and “Man and nature” have been summed up today in GTRK “Korston” (Kazan). RT Premier Ildar Khalikov took part in awarding ceremony.
RT Minister of ecology and natural resources Artem Sidorov opened the ceremony. He reminded that 200 applications were submitted for participation in the contest “ECOleader”.
Head of RT Cabinet Ildar Khalikov noted that the contest had been held in republic since 2004. It is aimed at spreading positive experience of work of enterprises and organizations on nature conservation and resource-saving activity, stimulation of nature conservation activity of RT enterprises.
By words of Ildar Khalikov within the frameworks of contest enterprises and organizations realize unique programs and projects of nature conservation character. He reminded that today the word “ecology” is interpreted differently but it generally means “a house we live in” or “environment we dwell in”. “Nature surrounds us from the very birth, it forms our health, mood, and our life on the whole. Today man create so many novelties, realize projects which influence environment seriously. To preserve environment enterprises and organizations spend a lot of money because one cannot be engaged in production if irreversible changes occur, life disappears and natural environment suffers”, - Prime Minister stated.
Prime Minister handed awards to the winners of republican contest “ECOleader” in the following nominations – “For efficient ecological management” (JSC “Kazanorgsintez”), “For adoption of technologies on collection and processing of recyclable materials and energy-efficient technologies” (JSC “KAMAZ”), “For adoption of advanced innovative technologies in agro-industrial complex” (company “Chelny-Broiler”), “For efficient ecological program” (JSC “Nizhnekamskneftehim”).
“Tatneft” company has become an absolute winner in contest “ECOleader” 2010.
Within the limits of awarding ceremony it was announced that by results 2010 the Republic of Tatarstan has become the region – winner of Russian contest “National ecological award”. The contest is held on the basis of rating of stable development of Russian subjects in terms of ecological and energy efficiency of economy, quality of ecological conditions for population, potential of eco-systems and conservation of environment.
Awards and diplomas were handed later on in GTRK “Korston” to winners of contest “Man and nature”. RT Minister of forestry Nail Magdeev, Deputy Chairman of RT State Council Rimma Ratnikova and Deputy of RF State Duma fatikh Sibagatullin took part in solemn events.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
