Ildar Khalikov: Tatarstan is about to realize global projects

Opening of two exhibitions - 11th international exhibition “Mechanical engineering. Metal working. Kazan” and 6th special exhibition “Technowelding” took place at JSC “Kazan Yarmarka”. More than 800 representatives of 130 companies from Russia and 13 countries of the world take part in the event.

In a solemn opening ceremony took part RT Premier Ildar Khalikov, RT Minister of industry and trade Ravil Zaripov and Vice-premier of Sverdlovsk region government - Minister of industry and science of Sverdlovsk region Aleksandr Petrov.

Ildar Khalikov noted that in 2010 growth of engineering industry in Tatarstan made 25 % and output growth at JSC “KAMAZ” – more than 40 %.

RT Premier reminded that on June 8 the Agreement on creation of joint enterprise of «Ford Motor Company» and JSC “Sollers” was signed in Moscow in presence of Chairman of RF government and President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.

Ildar Khalikov is sure that this exhibition will give impetus to development of engineering industry that is at the cutting edge of scientific and technical thought and creates working places. He wished all participants of the exhibition good luck and efficient work.

Aleksandr Petrov noted that Sverdlovsk region and Tatarstan are developed regions in engineering industry. Sverdlovsk region has set the goal to enlarge mechanical production twice by 2015.

After the opening ceremony Ildar Khalikov and honorable guests overhauled the exposition. RT PM noted that Tatarstan universities and science are presented at the exhibition this year for the first time. By his words earlier the majority of equipment and technologies were presented by foreign companies. Now domestic companies present equipment on the basis of Russian and Tatarstan technologies. KSTU named after Tupolev and other universities introduce advanced technologies that may be sold in Russia and abroad.

Ravil Zaripov told mass media that Tatarstan had signed agreements on cooperation with 27 Russian regions. A session of working commission on realization of signed agreement between Sverdlovsk region and Tatarstan was held on June 14. Except for developing contacts in engineering sector cooperation of Kazan and Ekaterinburg universities was discussed.

The exhibition “Mechanical engineering. Metal working. Kazan” is aimed at expansion of cooperation between participants of engineering market, development of regional and international relations favoring intensive development of core enterprises, scientific, technical and technological potential of republican enterprises and organizations engaged in design, elaboration and production of engineering products and promotion of innovative activity.
