First Vice-premier of RF Government: Situation with forest fires in the country is under control

“Situation with forest fires in the country is under control”, - First Vice-premier of RF Government Viktor Zubkov said while staying in Kazan.
On finishing session organization committee of horse races for the prize of RF President Viktor Zubkov noted that areas susceptible to forest fires are wider this year than in 2011 but at the same time less than in 2009 and 2008.
First Vice-premier of RF Government informed that about 10 bln. roubles were allocated this year by federal budget for prevention and control of forest fires. Last yea the sum was 2,5 bln. roubles. “We gave more machinery to regions, tested new structures of forestry management. Regions themselves also took measures and invested money.
V.Zubkov cited as an example Tatarstan which allocated money for purchasing fire trucks for district branches of Ministry of emergency situations.
Viktor Zubkov considers that for successful fire-fighting it is important to increase responsibility of municipal authorities. “Above all, in regions work should be organized not only at the level of government, but with citizens as well. It is essential so that heads of municipal formation bear more responsibility, in order that they will not go on vocation when the fire rages in the region. One who does not follow requirements of fire safety should be punished”, - First Vice-premier of RF Government believes.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
