Dmitry Medvedev arrives in Kazan

(Kazan, June 24, Tatar-inform, Alia Sabirova). President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev has arrived in Kazan. the president’s airplane a few minutes ago landed in the Kazan international airport.
President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, President of Russia Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Volga Federal District Grigory Rapota, State Council chairman Farid Mukhametshin, Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov and other officials met him at the airport.
Program of Dmitry Medvedev’s stay in Kazan includes tripartite meeting of heads of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan and holding joint session of Council at RT President on development of physical culture, sports and sports of high achievements, preparation and holding XXII Olympic winter games, XI Para-Olympic winter games 2014 in Sochi, XXVII World championship on football-2018, Fund for support of Russian Olympians «On course of preparation sport RF national teams to Games ХХХ Olympiad and XIV Para-Olympiad summer games 2012 in London and XXII Olympic winter games and XI Para-Olympic games 2014 in Sochi».
It is assumed that D.Medvedev will attend horse race for Russia President Cup at the international horse-sports complex «Kazan».
D.Medevdev’s programme is extensive. One of the major subjects a meeting between Presidents of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia in Kazan will deal with is preparing a final revision of the draft main principles of Nagorny Karabakh regulation. President is expected to visit the international equestrian centre, where the President of Russia horse race will take place.
D. Medvedev plans to take part in the Sabantui folk festival and visit the Rowing Sports Centre

On 4 April , speaking at a closing ceremony of the XX Russian Venture Forum held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the Russian Venture Forum has confirmed its status of the point of attraction of technological development leaders.
The Forum created a unified scientific, technological and investment space where scientific ideas are transformed into competitive products, and startups gain access to capital and markets. Its business programme is organically integrated into the regional and federal agenda for achieving technological sovereignty and leadership of Russia, he said.
