Ildar Khalikov meets with delegation of Islamic Republic Iran

On July,7 RT Acting President - Premier Ildar Khalikov met with delegation of Islamic Republic Iran led by Chief of organization for hajj affairs Said Ali Gaziastar in Kazan. The meeting took place in House of RT Government.
Delegation of Islamic Republic Iran in Kazan took part in III International conference on hajj “Hajj is a unity of Muslims. The past and the future. Integrated approaches”. The conference is aimed at development of the system on hajj organization for Russian Muslims, CIS countries and Balkan region and finding joint solutions of incipient problems at various stages of hajj organization.
Opening the event Ildar Khalikov welcomed members of delegation on behalf of RT President, State Council and republican Government. Premier stressed that Tatarstan authorities appreciate cooperation with Iran. “We appreciate that our relations are long-lasting and lately have become more dynamic due to efforts of consulate and embassy. I am sure your visit and conference will favor increasing the number of contacts between Tatarstan and Iran”, - Ildar Khalikov stated.
Head of Tatarstan expressed gratitude towards Islamic Republic Iran for cooperation with RT educational institutions and regular participation of Iran in International festival of Muslim cinema. Ildar Khalikov separately thanked Iran Government for gifted carpets for Kul Sharif Mosque.
“Thanks you for the visit to republic and participation in the conference”, - Ildar Khalikov addressed members of delegation.
Chief of organization for hajj affairs Said Ali Gaziastar in his turn thanked Tatarstan authorities for assistance in conference organization. He emphasized republican achievements in the sphere of inter-religious relations and dynamic economic development of Tatarstan Republic. “Your prosperity is a pride for Muslims all over the world”, - Said Ali Gaziastar addressed Ildar Khalikov.
Chief of Iran organization for hajj affairs made some proposals regarding development of cooperation between Islamic Republic and Tatarstan. Said Ali Gaziastar believes that Iranian specialist could translate memoirs of leading religious figures into Russian and present them in Tatarstan. Tatarstan clergy could be educated in Iran as well.
Ildar Khalikov supported the proposals of Iranian delegation. “Our approaches to establishing relations with other religions and Muslims are similar. We and our Religious Board of Muslims will adopt your experience with great pleasure”, - Head of Tatarstan Government said.
On 9 May Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in a ceremony of laying flowers to the monument “The victorious soldier” dedicated to the celebrations of the Day of Victory in the Great Patriotic War (WW II) 1941-1945 and held at Arsk cemetery in Kazan.
On 8 May, speaking at a meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with participation of the Acting Chairman of the State Council of the republic Marat Akhmetov and the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector of the republic Marat Ayzatullin reported that capital overhaul of social facilities is in full swing in the republic with 170 educational facilities having been included into regional and federal programmes.
On 4 May at a briefing held in the Tatarstan Government House it was told that currently there are 92 combat veterans, the last witnesses of the Great Patriotic War (WW II) of 1941-1945, living in the republic. The briefing also informed about veterans’ support measures and how the republic is planning to celebrate the Victory Day on 9 May.
The Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva told that names of 353 Heroes of the Soviet Union from Tatarstan “ are immortalized in street names, on memorials, in monuments and squares and, of course, in our memory”. “The Victory Day is the day of memory, mourning and joy. It is the event which today should be clearly understandable to all young people and younger generation of Tatarstan,” she said.
On 24 April, upon his arrival to the Kazan International Airport, the Defense Minister of China Dong Jun was welcomed by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, representatives of the General Consulate of China in Kazan and other officials
