Rustam Minnikhanov and Igor Levitin visit memorial services in remembrance of the dead at “Bulgaria” vessel

RF Minister of transport Igor Levitin and President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited memorial services in remembrance of the dead upon wreck of “Bulgaria” vessel that were held in Peter and Paul Cathedral and the oldest Mosque “Al-Mardjani” in Kazan.
At Peter and Paul Cathedral of Kazan eparchy His Grace Anastasy administered the burial service for the perished because of tragedy.
RF Minister of transport Igor Levitin stressed that the bitterest thing is that there were many children on board. “We could do our utmost to help the injured and families of the lost”, - I.Levitin stated.
President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov thanked RF President for announced national mourning and asked to pray for the response of perished.
Rustam Minnikhanov and Igor Levitin also visited the Mosque “Al-Mardjani” where Kazan imam Mansur hazrat Djalyaletdin held namaz for the perished.
July,12 is the Day of national mourning in Russia for the perished upon wreck of “Bulgaria” vessel. It was announced by RF President Dmitry Medvedev. State flags are at half-mast, entertainment programs and events are cancelled. Memorial services are being held at churches and mosques.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. On 12 April in his address to residents of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated them with the Space Exploration Day and said: “April 12, 1961 has forever been inscribed into the world history as the day of triumph of the Soviet science and engineering thought. The flight of Yuriy Gagarin opened the way to the stars for the humankind and demonstrated to the whole world the might of our country.
On 4 April , speaking at a closing ceremony of the XX Russian Venture Forum held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the Russian Venture Forum has confirmed its status of the point of attraction of technological development leaders.
The Forum created a unified scientific, technological and investment space where scientific ideas are transformed into competitive products, and startups gain access to capital and markets. Its business programme is organically integrated into the regional and federal agenda for achieving technological sovereignty and leadership of Russia, he said.
On 1 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Russian Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko introduced Ayrat Farrakhov, who was appointed the Acting Rector of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) to its staff.
In his speech Mikhail Murashko emphasized that today KSMU is rightfully considered one of the most respected in the country and said:”Ayrat (Zakievich) has been officially appointed the Acting Rector and I am sure that under his leadership the University will maintain the positions it has achieved and, of course, will continue its development.”
