91 bodies of shipwreck victims identified

Corpses of 100 people perished upon “Bulgaria” shipwreck have been retrieved, Ministry of emergency situations informs on July,13 at 10:00 (63 women, 18 children, 19 men). Corpses of 91 people were identified. 66 corpses were given to relatives for burial.

Operations on searching the corpses, rendering psychological aid, investigation of the vessel and water area, retrieving corpses of the perished and localization of oil products spill continue at the wreck site.

Representatives from the 40th institute of RF Ministry of defence came to organize operations on lifting the sunk vessel (7 divers).

Interaction with FGU “Volga state basin directorate of waterways and navigation” on transportation of two floating cranes from Volzhsky and Dubna city ports to implement operations on lifting up the sunk vessel continue. Approximately cranes are to be on the site on July,17.
