Asgat Safarov meets delegation of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam

On July 6, at their meeting at the Kazan Kremlin, Chief of Staff of Tatarstan President’s Administration Asgat Safarov and members of delegation of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam led by Deputy Head of the Control Office of the Government of Vietnam Hgo Van Khan, who arrived in Tatarstan as part of their official visit to Russia, discussed issues of anti-corruption cooperation and exchange of practical experience in ​​anti-corruption work.

Welcoming the guests, Safarov noted the positive experience of cooperation between Tatarstan and Vietnam as part of Russian-Vietnamese relations. He said in 2016 the bilateral foreign trade turnover between Tatarstan and Vietnam amounted to more than 59 mln US dollars, which is more than two times higher than in 2015.

Safarov stressed that in today's environment it is very important to create favorable conditions for economic development, healthy competition and implementation of investment projects. In this regard, Tatarstan has organized work for building an efficient and strong economy without corruption.

The guests were also informed that in 2005 Tatarstan developed and is consistently implementing an anticorruption policy strategy, among key areas of which are the increased transparency of public administration, a set of standardized procedures for rendering state and municipal services, and participation of residents in public supervision and control over activities of government authorities.

In his turn, Ngo Van Khan noted the need to share experience in priority areas, including the implementation of anti-corruption measures in order to increase investment attractiveness and strengthen international cooperation.
