On July 17, speaking at a briefing at Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Industry and Trade of the republic Albert Karimov said that a number of agreements were signed during the Innoprom-2017 International Industrial Trade Fair which was held in Yekaterinburg from the 9th to 13th of July.
In particular, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic and Head of Penetron-Russia Holding Igor Chernogolov signed an agreement on the opening of a line for the production of waterproofing materials in Tatarstan. According to Karimov, the expected production capacity is 5,000 tonnes of finished products per year with the possibility of growth up to 10,000 tonnes per year.
He continued that KAMAZ Automaker and X5 Retail Group signed an agreement on delivery and maintenance of 100 KAMAZ trucks with an upgraded gas-diesel engine and the same number of Russian-made NEFAZ refrigerated semi-trailers.
The Minister reminded that the Innoprom has been held annually since 2010. "This year’s partner-country was Japan. India was the fair's partner-country last year and Korea is expected to be the partner-country next year. More than 600 companies from 17 countries took part in the fair. More than 50,000 people visited the exhibition. Tatarstan also had its display. The delegation of the republic included representatives of state agencies and companies. On the 10th of July, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited the exhibition. Tatarstan presented the information in the context of our main industries," the speaker said.
According to Karimov, the theme of this year's exhibition was Smart Manufacturing. "There was a lot of discussion about digital technologies, production management, product life cycle," he said.
Karimov also reported about the meeting between the Tatarstan delegation and Director General of the Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company Andrey Kozitsyn. "We discussed the development of cooperation. Colleagues will visit the republic to present the potential of their company. We agreed that we will accept the delegation in August and September and will establish cooperation," he said.
Karimov also said that about 80 companies have been registered on the Made in Tatarstan portal – the website about the industrial potential of the republic.
The speaker reminded that the portal developed by the Ministry of Informatization and Communication and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the republic was presented to Minnikhanov on 16th of June during a meeting on innovative development of enterprises.
"We expect that the number of companies participating in this project will increase. We hope that the portal will become an instrument for potential partners to get information about capabilities of the regional enterprises," Karimov concluded.
