Rustam Minnikhanov: For Tatartsan to remain a leader region in Russia we have to work well and a lot

“Tatarstan must remain a leader region in Russia”, - President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov stated in the course of primaries in Zelenodolsk town. Before President’s speech head of regional public office of All-Russia political party “United Russia”, coordinator of regional coordination council of “All-Russia public people’s front” Vasily Loginov told about course of primaries. 14 platforms had been created in Tatarstan for participants of primaries. Candidates will speak in front of 300 voters. The speech should last for three minutes, the same time is given to answer the questions. Then electors proceed to the secret room.
According to Vasily Loginov the following regions are presented at the site: Zelenodolsk, Kaibitsky, Verkhneuslonsky, Kamsko-Ustinsky.
Speaking to participants of primaries Rustam Minnikhanov informed about plans of Tatarstan government regarding region’s development. He pointed out the main tasks – maintenance of social and political stability and interethnic accord.
Rustam Minnikhanov reminded that republic announces about improving living standards of citizens - environmental conditions, certain income level. To realize the task we have to develop our economy, he says. He informed that in 2010 volume of industrial output made 1 trillion roubles. Republic sets more ambitious task by 2016 - to reach production volume 2 trillion roubles.
Oil production, petrochemistry and oil-refining and mechanical engineering will be the main lines of development. It is expected that within the next 20 years oil production will be at the level of 30 mln. tons per year.
Modernization of petrochemical complex will increase output volumes twice. RT President reminded about construction of one more chemical enterprise – plant for producing methanol, ammonia and carbamide in Mendeleevsk.
Mechanical engineering complex is rapidly developing in republic as well. It concern first of all JSC “KAMAZ” (Nab.Chelny) and joint enterprises established on its basis together with world leaders in the sphere of auto-component production. One of the largest projects is a joint enterprise with Ford company - “Ford-Sollers” (Elabuga).
Rustam Minnikhanov mentioned such sectors as aircraft and helicopter engineering, energy complex, and shipbuilding.
Development of agro-industrial complex is very important for republican economy.
RT President believes that the economy is based on highly educated modern people and Tatarstan puts much emphasis on education reform, in particular high school reform. Highly skilled staff is a competitive advantage, he said.
Rustam Minnikhanov briefly told about stimulating tools for creating the middle class and necessary infrastructure for its development.
Speaking about realization of social programs Rustam Minnikhanov told about major repair of multi-apartment houses, construction of rural roads with hard coating and targeted social protection of citizens.
Many projects being implemented currently in Tatarstan are supported by the federal centre. For instance, preparation for Universiade 2013, World swimming championship 2015, World football championship 2018. All these events will attract tourists, investors, facilitate developing transport infrastructure, hotel network, and create jobs.

On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
On May 14, Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda, who arrived on a working visit in Kazan to take part in the events of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, was met by Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin and other officials at the Kazan International Airport.
