Rustam Minnikhanov and Vladimir Mau assess projects presented by participants of professional development program “Master of state-public management”

Today participants of professional development program “Master of state-public management” – heads of executive authorities and representatives of staff reserve presented their final projects at House of RT Government. President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, RT Premier Ildar Khalikov and Rector of Russian academy of national economy and state service at RF President Vladimir Mau took part in the event.
The program of professional development was launched a year ago. It comprised of 10 educational modules. Today’s preliminary defence of projects is the completion of 10th module.
The project was prepared on the basis of global economic trends and contains views and suggestions on integrating interests of Tatarstan into global economic space.
The first project “Tatarstan: response to global challenges” developed by program participants during inter-module interaction was presented by RT Minister of economy Marat Shagiakhmetov. Main idea of the projects is introduction of Tatarstan as the innovation-oriented region. Besides it is planned to form new living standards characteristic of developed countries in republic.
The second project was devoted to tools of formation and realization of innovative policy. It was presented by Deputy Minister of economy Artem Zdunov. The project addresses ways of innovative development of Tatarstan Republic within the limits of integration into global innovative processes which concern the whole process from generation of ideas to introduction of new innovative products at the market. Cooperation with “Rosnano”, scientific town “Skolkovo” and Vnesheconombank is to be continued.
He third project “Staff provision of new economy” was presented by Minister of labor, employment and social care Airat Shafigullin. It was dedicated to issues of staff training and retraining for labor market, demand for some majors, and interest of business owners in training certain specialists. Airat Shafigullin introduced the direction of prospective development of professional education in republic. He believes standards for such spheres as tourism, transport, housing & communal utilities are to be developed.
Minister of health care Airat Farrakhov presented the project called “Health care building” which implies construction of medical and recreation centres mainly based on private-state partnership and self-sufficiency.
A question-answer session was held afterwards.
President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov summarized: “Though the reports are not ideal several important issues were raised and suggestions were introduced. He emphasized the problem of personnel training that would be in-demand at labor market.
Head of republic supported the idea announced by one of speakers – “currently notwithstanding innovative infrastructure (technoparks, innovative sites) there is no close interaction of science, real economic sector, higher educational institutions and enterprises in republic”.
On 9 May Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in a ceremony of laying flowers to the monument “The victorious soldier” dedicated to the celebrations of the Day of Victory in the Great Patriotic War (WW II) 1941-1945 and held at Arsk cemetery in Kazan.
On 8 May, speaking at a meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with participation of the Acting Chairman of the State Council of the republic Marat Akhmetov and the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector of the republic Marat Ayzatullin reported that capital overhaul of social facilities is in full swing in the republic with 170 educational facilities having been included into regional and federal programmes.
On 4 May at a briefing held in the Tatarstan Government House it was told that currently there are 92 combat veterans, the last witnesses of the Great Patriotic War (WW II) of 1941-1945, living in the republic. The briefing also informed about veterans’ support measures and how the republic is planning to celebrate the Victory Day on 9 May.
The Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva told that names of 353 Heroes of the Soviet Union from Tatarstan “ are immortalized in street names, on memorials, in monuments and squares and, of course, in our memory”. “The Victory Day is the day of memory, mourning and joy. It is the event which today should be clearly understandable to all young people and younger generation of Tatarstan,” she said.
On 24 April, upon his arrival to the Kazan International Airport, the Defense Minister of China Dong Jun was welcomed by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, representatives of the General Consulate of China in Kazan and other officials
