Minister of agriculture and foodstuff Marat Akhmetov: This year is to be a bread year

The Republic of Tatarstan is faced to harvest 1650 ths. hectares of grain, about 600 ths. hectares of winter crops, 500 ths. hectares of spring planted. This was announced at the RT Cabinet briefing by Vice RT Premiere –Minister of agriculture and foodstuff Marat Akhmetov.
Briefing passed in video conference format with wiring all RT municipal regions.
Marat Akhmetov marked that by today 210 ths. hectares have been harvested. Yield productivity in average makes 31,1 c/h. Further, taking into account fields productivity, this figure might be changed.
All in all, by words of RT Minister of agriculture, the year in republic will be rich in bread, especially in comparison to the past year when harvest yield was low because of draught. Grain growers put a task to thresh 180-200 ths. t. daily.
4 ths combine harvesters are in work including 1200 high productive import combines.
By words of Marat Akhmetov, the regions in various way started harvesting. Good rates showed Alkeyevsky, Kaibitz, Sarman, Nurlat, Zainsk regions. Mendeleevsk region still has not started harvesting, the process is stuck in Leninigirsk, Aznakaevsk, Bugulma regions.
Head of RT Minsekhozprod emphasized that high cropping yield is manifested by such regions like Aktanysh and Nurlat.
Marat Akhmetov during the briefing sounded the prospects for grain harvest in general for Russia. By his words today when the southern regions already have gathered crops, its volume will not be lower 90-95 mln. t. of grain. And he did not answer the question on planned volume of grain in Tatarstan, having pointed that by now 13% of all areas have been finished.
It is supposed to procure wheat of third grade in regional fund with 5,3 ths.rubles per ton.
Answering the question on cost of bread, chief of ministry stated: «There is no ground for raising price on bread». He specified also basic price on bread is formed by tariffs on energy and taxes.
Marat Akhmetov informed that this year is planned to sow 700 ths. hectares of winter crops.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
