Rustam Minnikhanov meets with Efes company

Today President of Tatarstan R.N. Minnikhanov has met with Efes company top executives. The meeting was held at the Kazan Kremlin, aide to RT President Anatoly Krasnov, Kazan mayor Ilsur Metshin, deputy minister of industry and trade Oleg Vlasov and others took in it.
The Efes company is involved in brewing and sales of beer and soft drinks. One of the Efes enterprises is located in Kazan. By production volumes the enterprise is a flagship of the group. Besides, today, one of the Efes beer restaurants erected in Kazan has commenced its work.
Welcoming the delegation members of the Efes group of companies Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated them on opening a new restaurant. «This is a new step in developing culture of beer consumption in the republic», - he said. By R.Minnikhanov opinion, the project is specifically actual within the frameworks RF laws changes on beer consumption.
Today Kazan is becoming more attractive, Rustam Minnikhanov said, as we approach summer Universiade 2013, the sports objects are being erected, a tourist infrastructure is built. There should be more restaurants, café, bars in the city where numerous tourists and guests of the capital felt themselves comfortable. In close years in Kazan, besides summer Universiade 2013, world swimming championship (2015), world football matchesу (2018 год), different measures of federal and international level are expected, head of Tatarstan reminded, we must host guests , sportsmen, provide them comfortable conditions of their stay.
During the meeting with Efes representatives Rustam Minnikhanov thanked Turkish businessmen for mutually beneficial cooperation. He reminded that between Tatasrtan as Russia’s region and Turkey good relations had developed which are based on proximity of cultures, language and religion. «And today our business contacts are deepening in other fields», - RT President said.
By words of Rustam Minnikhanov, the Efes company, entering Tatarstan in year 2006 with its production, signaled Turkish business community that this is a territory where a business is possible. Today, business companies are ones of major residents in a special economic zone Alabuga , they prove themselves in other spheres. Besides, the visits of Turkey leadership to Russia (particular, recent visit by Turkey Prime minister Rejep Erdogan) condition to build up more close relations between Russia and Turkey, Tatarstan and Turkey.

We are interested to develop Efes production in the republic Rustam Minnikhanov stated. He offered to set up a working group which would include the representatives Efes, RT Ministry of finance and other specialists for detailed study the issues of company development and its presence in the market.
In their turn, Efes representatives during the meeting with Rustam Minnikhanov told that they are not going to be limited only in brewing. By their words Tatarstan may become a platform for carrying out number of the company’s business projects. In particular, it is assumed to widen such direction as provision of their brewery enterprises with raw material (growing barley).
